On June 20, Platform Calgary hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and community celebration at their venue in Calgary. This event aimed not only to present the achievements of 2023 but also to promote the spirit of collective effort and highlight the vital role of the community in their initiatives.
Terry Rock, the President and CEO, led the presentation, sharing notable accomplishments. He emphasized, “Connected community: 50 companies hosted 118 events,” reflecting the vibrant and collaborative ecosystem fostered by Platform Calgary.
Following the presentation, an insightful panel discussion took place featuring prominent figures such as Brad Zumwalt, co-founder of Rainforest Calgary; Lourdes Juan, founder and CEO of Knead Technologies; Rumza Fatima, the 2023 Platform 10x Future Founders Scholarship recipient; and Terry Rock.
Brad Zumwalt highlighted the significance of community in his remarks, stating, “There is no value in working by yourself… culture is the shadow of what we do,” underscoring the essence of collaboration and shared vision in achieving success.
