It’s Celebration Time at SLAA…
The Sierra Leone Association of Alberta (SLAA), held its first-ever Awards ceremony on Saturday, 20 July, 2024, The Sierra Leone Association of Alberta 2024 Presidential Awards.
It took place at the SLAA Community Hall in Edmonton, Alberta, with the handing out of 300 trophies and certificates of appreciation.
Trophies and certificates were handed to: students including graduates, volunteers, entrepreneurs, executives, and close associates of the Sierra Leone community, for their respective contributions to the association.
The event also witnessed a collection of the huge achievements of the outgoing SLAA Board, led by Dr. Abu Conteh, presented in the form of a magazine, ushering the way for a new era of leaders as the next election of the new Board comes up this August.

C’est le temps des célébrations chez SLAA…
L’Association Sierra-Léonaise de l’Alberta (SLAA) a organisé sa toute première cérémonie de remise de prix le samedi 20 juillet 2024, lors des Prix Présidentiels 2024 de l’Association Sierra-Léonaise de l’Alberta.
L’événement a eu lieu au SLAA Community Hall à Edmonton, Alberta, avec la distribution de 300 trophées et certificats d’appréciation.
Des trophées et des certificats ont été remis aux étudiants, y compris les diplômés, aux bénévoles, aux entrepreneurs, aux dirigeants et aux proches associés de la communauté sierra-léonaise, pour leurs contributions respectives à l’association.
L’événement a également mis en lumière les nombreuses réalisations de l’actuel Conseil d’administration de la SLAA, dirigé par le Dr Abu Conteh, présentées sous forme de magazine, ouvrant la voie à une nouvelle ère de dirigeants alors que la prochaine élection du nouveau Conseil aura lieu en août.
