A Mentorship Mentee introduction took place March 23, 2018, at Centre For Newcomers with the goal of matching mentors with those seeking advice in their field from professionals on how to better prepare themselves. Attending were those who have a high degree of education and experience in their home country but have to adjust and make sacrifices in order to prepare for Canadian experience. To become a mentor, one must have many years of professional experience or skills in their chosen field in Canada and be able to guide others in the right path.

Once a mentor and a mentee are matched it will give the mentee the confidence and Mentors themselves are once immigrants so know what is going on in the minds of new immigrants and those attending many have been here for less than a year. The Centre For Newcomers in Calgary is an ideal place to meet and greet or attend its many events and workshops. The co-ordinator of the Mentorship Program is Ayotunde Kayode.
