Every month, to maintain excellence and forge handwork among students, the sister college of Academy of Learning and Digital College respectively organize monthly events called Academy Awards and Digital Awards to recognize those who have done well and encourage them to keep working hard. At these events, Honours students get a free graduation ticket.
A full house of students took part in the fun event of handing out of prizes to students who have done well academically, practically, morally, and those who have displayed marked improvement or perseverance.
Elmer and Audrey Brattberg bought the Academy of Learning Franchise to change people’s life, a point repeated by Nayima Nadeem, the Training Director for Academy of Learning Career College. Nayima reiterated to Diversity Magazine, “we take pride in changing lives,”Â
Audrey a teacher, and Elmer an entrepreneur, together own seven of the 10 Academy of Learning Career Colleges in Alberta. They own campuses in Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, and Medicine Hat. A tremendous success that they attributed in part to diversity and inclusion.Â
The colleges raised money yearly for juvenile diabetes through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and this year was recognized for their fundraising as shown in the first photo below with Audrey.
With over 2,000 students in all three campuses in Edmonton; South, West, and Downtown, new nicely design downtown campus, Academy of Learning Career College is rocking strong. With campuses in Red Deer, Calgary, and
Medicine Hat, every year, hundreds of students from every background enroll into Academy of Learning Career College to get trained into short term employable programs such as; Healthcare, Hospitality Management,
Legal, Business, Community Service, Graphics and Web Design and Technology. The most recent program on their list of programs is Immigration Consultant and the upcoming Graphic Design Program.
A good number of students also join Academy of Learning’s sister college called Digital School to pursue technical designs in fields such as Architectural Design Technology, Engineering Design Technology, BIM Technology and Process Piping.
