On October 5, 2019, a packed North Glenora Community Hall in Edmontonians joined a vibrant Guinean community in Edmonton to celebrate their independence from France on October 2, 1958.

The super talented Melisizwe Brothers killed it in French as their way to support the Guinea community fly the red, yellow and green flag.

Girlz Got Moves also added some fun, after the cultural dishes were served. Guinean-Canadian fashion designer, Tounka, staged a fashion show with some fashion designs before the event erupted into a party.
