The Canadian Hospitality Worker Relief Fund is providing $500 one-time grants to eligible hospitality workers on a first-come, first served basis. COVID-19 has hit hospitality workers hard – and we want to help. Applications Open on May 6th at 12pm (ET), 9am (PT). WHO CAN APPLY Workers in the restaurant and hospitality industry, including delivery people, who have been adversely impacted by the pandemic financially through a decrease in wages or loss of employment.This one-time grant is intended to help with your day-to-day expenses like groceries, utility bills, rent or mortgage, and/or medical assistance.Grants will be awarded to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria, as reviewed and verified by the fund administrators at the Design Exchange, until all funds have been distributed.Funds will be available for hospitality workers living in Canada who:Are over the age of 18 Have worked in the hospitality industry, including food delivery workers, for at least 90 days in the past year
Have their primary source of income in the restaurant or lodging industry have experienced a decrease in wages or loss of job on or after March 10, 2020. Have the ability to accept electronic transfer payments (ie.
