The US city of Minneapolis is re-structuring their police service. The cities of New York and LA are moving police funding to social services. The US Congress is currently working on police reform laws.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took a knee. Alberta Premier Jason Kenney and the Alberta UCP ignored taking part in the Equity Protest in Edmonton. Alberta NDP Leader, Rachel Notley attended the Edmonton protest.

BLACK Lives Matter Edmonton Chapter has called for moving part of the police budget to social services. Mayor Don Iveson of Edmonton looks forward to suggestions from councillors in their June 10, 9:30 AM meeting with Edmonton Police Service and Police Commission.

Edmonton Police Service has a new strategic plan. Calgary Police Service says they support the protest but has not presented anything else. Mayor Naheed Nenshi of Calgary and the city of Calgary have been strangely quiet on this issue.
