After yelling all week how bad racism is, Mr. Singh expected the political power houses in Canada to jump on his motion to fix systemic racism in Canada, but he was in for a surprise on how deep the systemic racism is in the very House he is trying to use to fix systemic racism in Canada.
The NDP Leader, Jagmeet Singh’s motion was blocked by Bloc Québécois which from the frustration he called their action racist to the annoyance of Bloc members and others in the House, he was not only ejected from parliament, but asked to only be recognized only after he issues an apology.
It’s become apparent that calling someone racist is much more worst that the racism that their action perpetuates.
The question of the day is, as we head towards the Legislature in Alberta, should we pay more emphasis on strategies to dismantle systemic racism or try to tone down the message not to make racist people uncomfortable?
