KYN Apparel, an Edmonton Fashion Design serves a group of customers at the market with their elegant designs.

The lines were long and winding, stretching for blocks.

Edmontonians came out in thousands on July 26, 2020 to not only support black owned businesses but also to shop local.

Shopping local is the backbone of any city as it puts money into the hands of local businesses to enable them grow and hire locals, pay taxes for investment in improving local infrastructure, as well as, sponsor local community events like the Black Owned Market.

Rochelle Ignacio, one of the organizers of the Black Owned Market told Diversity Magazine that she want people to not only go home with products, but also learn about black cultures.
