1. Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed on November 11, in Commonwealth member states since the end of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces who have died in the line of duty.
It’s also call Poppy Day or Armistice Day to mark the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918.
The poppy is used to represent Remembrance Day because they are the flowers which grew on the battlefields after World War One ended.
2. Commitment to Action- West Edmonton Village Community Room is the next opportunity to share your stories, experiences, ideas and feedback with EPS.
The EPS seeks to build, repair, and strengthen relationships to ensure it creates the space to hear directly from community on their experiences with policing, and ideas moving forward. While EPS will be attending community led sessions as invited, they will also be hosting a handful of sessions throughout the city.
