On a long Victoria Day weekend which some days are forecast to be warm and sunny in some parts of Alberta such as in Sylvan Lake, Red Deer, Grande Prairie, and in Edmonton, you might want to make a short exploratory drive.
By the way, Victoria Day is a federal Canadian public holiday celebrated as the official birthday of Canada’s sovereign. It will not be a bad idea to make the 90 minutes drive between Edmonton and Calgary, to the beautiful Central Albertan community of Sylvan Lake. Sylvan Lake is located 25 kilometres west of the City of Red Deer along Highway 11 or Highway 11A. It’s a 15-kilometre-long freshwater lake, in Red Deer County.
A peace of beauty to refresh your mind, body, and soul, on the banks, on a boat, swimming, or enjoying the goodies of the bubbly community around the lake.
Enjoy enjoy!
Happy Victoria Day!
