As Winter turns into Spring, and Spring into Summer, we need nice places to cool down and relax.
One place you need to add to your to-visit list is the magnificent Louise McKinney Riverfront Park situated just adjacent to downtown Edmonton, south of the Edmonton Convention Centre (former Shaw Conference Centre).
This riverfront park that has been specially selected to host the celebration of the rich and diverse cultures of African descent through a festival called Africanival 2022 on July 16 and 17. It’s the front door to the river valley parks system, and gateway to trails throughout the city.
This park with breathtaking, unobstructed river view can be accessed using the Funicular near Fairmont Hotel Macdonald, with connection to the Chinese Garden, park benches, Segway and bike rentals, walking and cycling trails, washrooms, and many more in this Edmonton germ that you need to visit with family and friends.
