On September 21, Eats on 118, organized by the Alberta Avenue Business Association, visited the Liberia Cuisine on Wheels in the Alberta Avenue neighborhood of Edmonton, the last stop of their restaurant visits this summer.
It was a big group of 26 people, from various parts of Edmonton, and some from out of town, eager to try the food, learn about the restaurant, and hopefully return one day as customers.
“….It was marvellous…..people took my business cards saying they will come back….it’s advertisement you know…they gave me good feedback….,” an excited John Freeman, owner of Liberia Cuisine on Wheels told Diversity Magazine after the visit.
John started his food business as a food delivering service in 2019. In 2020, he opened a small take away restaurant, and has now moved to a bigger restaurant on 8405 118 Avenue in Edmonton.
Erick Estrada, the Executive Director of the Alberta Avenue Business Association, and Kate Hamblin of Bottom Line Productions, the company coordinating the project, are already looking forward to 2023 with new additions and new ways to support businesses on the Avenue.
