It’s political convention weekend in Alberta….
The blue and orange clouds rising across the province as elections comes up in a matter of months.
Alberta New Democratic Party (NDP) Convention 2022 took place at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Calgary.
Convention is that time for Alberta NDP members to celebrate, re-connect, re-energize and get inspired about the journey ahead. It’s a weekend of reflection, looking back at what has been accomplished over the last few years, what needs discussion, or thinking, or a pause or a change. This weekend is also an opportunity for the party to look forward, and as a group consider, “What’s next?”
There were different speakers that will help prepare the members for the upcoming election, spiced up with training sessions throughout the convention so that members are equipped with information on what they all need to do to win the next election.
Alberta NDP leader, Rachel Notley summarized the convention with these words on Saturday, “……..if you wanna build a better future….there’s a place for you here in the Alberta NDP…”
