It’s another weekend in our fantastic Edmonton. It’s bright. It’s sunny. Inviting for an outing? You bet! Where can I go when things open up for a weekend in Edmonton? Today, I will rather take you out of town instead for a trip you could make when things open up.

After staying in doors all winter, and locked down for most of spring, you may want to venture for over an hour drive out of Edmonton to the touristic haven of Alberta, the highway from Edmonton to Jasper endowed with many wonderful lakes and beaches like Wabamun, and the Alberta Beach.

Today I will share just a tip of a huge iceberg of the wonders of the Alberta Beach in words and photos. One of Alberta’s finest! You will have to detour from the Highway from Edmonton to Jasper, on to the Highway towards Grande Prairie and again make another detour to Alberta Beach, visible from its community buildings. Well, now quiet as a result of the pandemic but as things pick up, it will for sure stage a come back to its once vibrant self.

The waters of the lake reflects the blue sky. The residences, stores, and businesses surrounding the lake instill a sense of short and long term survival and security. The benches on the side of the lake make for a calm resting place to retreat on your post pandemic journey. The ripples on the surface of the lake and the movement of the blue water inspires a lasting smile on your face and an eternal peace and calmness that should be able to take you all the way to the gates of your next outdoors.

Whatever way you choose to spend your weekend or which place you decide to chill in, we’d be happy to share and remember to keep the 2 meters physical distance rule, not more than 15 persons per gathering and frequently wash your hands.

Have a great weekend!
