Most programs are designed for community members with little involvement of the schools. Africa Centre developed a program called “Rise and Shine” to engage students and create crime prevention awareness in school, as well as, connect the students with other youth programs that the centre does.

On June 2, 2018, at the Majestic Palace of Sands Inn & Suites, Edmonton, it was the time to share the program with the community, inviting youths in the community and some community leaders who share their experiences with the youth.

This project is funded and supported by Alberta Justice and FCSS through the City of Edmonton. One of the schools visited is JH Picard as pictured below, followed by photos from the presentation of the project to the community at the Majestic Palace.
