The Alliance Jeuness Famille De l’Alberta Society known in English as the Alberta Family-Youth Alliance (AJFAS) in Edmonton, Alberta, has turned another year. At their annual general meeting (AGM) on June 27, at the Grand Salon in the University of Alberta, St. Jean Campus, the organization presented its 2018/2019 report.

A full house of community supporters, volunteers, and staff, listened passionately as Executive Director, Luketa M’Pindou shared how AJFAS has given Francophone youths a wide range of experiences and opportunities, including but not limited to learning the justice system through the Caravan Youth Justice Program, JAMIT Program sending young ambassadors to schools, experience on a live radio show with Radio Cité 97.9, after school program helping younger kids, community gardening producing fresh food, and crime prevention.

It was certainly a good year for AJFAS, with new programs, building future leaders, one program at a time with entrepreneurship in their sight for this year’s Summer Camps.
