On October 4, 2019, Diversity Magazine was invited to the event, Diversity at Work in progress at Al Rashid Mosque in Edmonton.

In an effort to promote diversity and acceptance, Al Rashid Mosque invited Edmontonians to the screening of two amazing documentaries that shed light on the beauty of diversity; “Building Bridges”, produced by Eric Spoeth of the Edmonton Interfaith Centre, a story to share the appreciation of places of worship.

The other documentary was “Salaam B’y”, a Story of a Muslim Newfoundlander Documentary Produced by Aatif Baskanderi, and Dr. Nazia Sharfuddin, celebrating love resilience, friendship, as well as, shares the lesson of love even to people who are different.

The producers discuss the objectives of their documentary, the take home messages, and answered questions from the audience in a panel discussion hosted by Noor Al-Henedy, Communications Director for the Al Rashid Mosque.
