Black History Month and the 128th celebration of the Battle of Adwa took place on March 16, at the Boyle Street Plaza Hall.
This’s the battle where the Ethiopian forces defeated the Italian invading force on Sunday 1 March 1896, near the town of Adwa. The decisive victory thwarted the campaign of the Kingdom of Italy to expand its colonial empire in the Horn of Africa.

Le Mois de l’Histoire des Noirs et la 128e célébration de la Bataille d’Adoua ont eu lieu le 16 mars, à la salle Boyle Street Plaza.
C’est la bataille où les forces éthiopiennes ont vaincu la force d’invasion italienne le dimanche 1er mars 1896, près de la ville d’Adoua. Cette victoire décisive a contrecarré la campagne du Royaume d’Italie visant à étendre son empire colonial dans la Corne de l’Afrique.
