Let’s Use this Black History Month to Make 2020 a Year to SHOW and Share!
Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Frankline, the Producer of Diversity Magazine, the largest multicultural publication in Alberta.

This is my Black History Month Message…

2019 has been a challenging year, with Black brothers and sisters still being sold in open slave markets in Libya. Back in Canada, and in Alberta, the Black community still struggle with rampant racism and discrimination. However, It’s been an encouraging year as well, with someone who looks like me, with Mahogany-tough flowery black hair, pronounced Miss Universe. A big shout-out to Miss South Africa. This year has seen a rise in Black History Month events across Alberta – exciting times for the awareness of Black History.

Let’s make 2020 the year of greatness by doing just two things, SHOW and SHARE!

Those with this bright Ebony-black skin tone, those with this Iroko-strong body build, those with the resilience of a Black Slave, the tender caring love of a nursing mother, acceptability of a toilet pot, and all those who love peace, justice, and humanity, this message is for you.
Next month is Black History Month, the time to learn about Black History, embrace the contributions and accomplishments of Black people, as well as, celebrate being black. I will go further to add that, it’s also the time to take stock and shift gears where necessary, and invest more resources and energy where there is demand.

As a problem-oriented builder for the last seven years, someone who is used to coming up with new projects like Diversity Magazine, and have been lucky to get thousands of people to support my projects, I can share with certainty that, people ONLY support me because I showed them and not tell them. That is; I showed them how I will help to connect them to the most difficult communities to reach out to, the multicultural communities, and also because I supported and shared what they do with thousands of people across Alberta and beyond.

Ladies and gentlemen, people will only support you if you provide value to them, if you show them how you care about them, why they matter to you, and if you show why you are the best person to help them, whatever your race colour, or background.

My Diversity Magazine Team has put together an extensive list of over 30 exciting Black History Month Events across Alberta, please attend, learn, let the organizers show you a thing or two about Black History, and please share when you go home – once again, show and share.

Beautiful, hardworking, resilient, and wonderful Ebony Black peoples of the world, and lovers of humanity across the globe, use this Black History Month to stop telling, and start SHOWING and SHARING!

A very very happy Black History Month from Frankline Agbor, the Green Crusader.
