Calgary: Fiestaval is a 3-day multicultural arts and entertainment festival highlighting the Latin American Culture. An annual event for the past 11 years, took place from July 20 to the 22, 2018 at the Calgary Olympic Plaza. It’s a celebration of Latin culture, showcasing the richness and beauty of Latin people through food, music, and dance.
Speaking to Christian one of the organizers of the festival, he says, “The objective of the festival is to showcase to Canadian and people across the world the opposite of what they see in the news everyday through music, food and dance”.
The festival has grown and continues to grow with over 50,000 people in attendance during the 3 day event. Christian goes on to say he hopes the festival will continue to grow in its strides, “It is the same recipe but with better ingredients, better production. It is all about showing our culture to the Canadian people and the coming together of our community to celebrate Latin culture.”
