Imagine getting up to an exquisite dish balanced to the nutritious needs of seniors and the sick; fried fish with pieces of fried chicken, an inviting brightly coloured beans sauce, a beefed up sauce-less green vegetable, complemented with Jollof rice, and completed with the Nigerian delicacy – Moi Moi.
Certainly even the most sick person will be appetized to get up from their sick bed and enjoy this delicious meal provided by Flavours Restaurant in Calgary to over 17 seniors, sick people, and vulnerable members of the community. This is a way to show the restaurant’s support during this Coronavirus pandemic in Calgary.
Born out of her passion for cooking and sharing the best of African cuisine with the world, Flavours Restaurant has been around in Calgary for seven years. Owner, Bola Esan told Diversity Magazine that as a child of God, she felt the need to help during these tough times.
One of the recipients of the delicious meal from Flavous Restaurant is Adebayo Oladele, known by family and friends as Bayo. The dish inspired this appreciation from his wife and owner of UPS Store 45 in Calgary, Yinka Oladele,
“Thank you FLAVOURS RESTAURANT for sending us delicious meal. May God bless your business and enrich your pocket”.
Another person who commented on the kind gesture of Flavours Restaurant is author, facilitator and consultant, Moji Taiwo, drawing a string of comments on her Facebook post:
