On July 21, 2018, the Action for Healthy Community Business Training Program, a local non-profit that assists newcomers succeed in starting their own businesses, held its graduating ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the program participants who are enrolled in three different initiatives. As part of the celebration, entrepreneurs had the opportunity to showcase their business through various booths/displays setup around the venue, Chateau Louis Hotel and Conference Centre.

Participants graduating have eagerly and persistently dedicated the last 14+ weeks to take their business ideas to fruition, through the guidance of well-known and experienced facilitators, business consultants, and mentors. The program has been ongoing for the last 3 years and is held in partnership with Communities United, Somali Canadian Women & Children Association (SCWCA) and numerous cultural communities and organizations to help integration of immigrants and Albertans through self-employment.
