The first African restaurant in a mall in Edmonton is now open at the Bonnie Doon Mall, in the busy Whyte Avenue area of Edmonton.
You can now experience something different in a mall – a delicious meal of beef skewers or kebab or suya, rice, chicken, plantain, puff-puff, shrimp, and many others, complemented with an out of this world fruit punch, the finest I’ve ever drank, made by a human.
After 10 years of building her catering business, two years ago, Tina Dikamba took her catering business to the next level with a food truck that she used to sell food at events across Alberta.
Due to numerous requests from her customers to experience her delicious food in her physical location when ever they want to, today, she made that dream a reality by opening the first African restaurant in a mall to give Edmontonians something different the next time they’re in a mall.
The grand opening of D4J is this Saturday, July 29, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, at the Bonnie Doon Mall in Edmonton.
D: is their family name Dikamba
4J: is her four children whose names all begin with the letter “J”.
Tina is a mom, a wife, the founder of the organization, She Glows, empowering women. She’s also the founder of D4J restaurant and food truck, and also an integral part of CANAVUA, feeding the needy every Friday on Whyte Avenue in Edmonton.
She’s offering a 15% discount this Saturday at the launch of D4J for those who can make it to the mall.

Après avoir passé 10 ans à bâtir son entreprise de restauration, il y a deux ans, Tina Dikamba a fait passer son entreprise de restauration au niveau supérieur avec un camion de restauration (courament appelé Food Truck), qu’elle utilisait pour vendre de la nourriture lors des évènements dans tout l’Alberta.
En raison de nombreuses demandes de ses clients pour découvrir sa délicieuse cuisine dans son emplacement physique quand ils le souhaitent, aujourd’hui, elle a fait de ce rêve une réalité en ouvrant le premier restaurant africain dans un centre commercial pour offrir aux Edmontoniens quelque chose de différent la prochaine fois qu’ils sont dans un centre commercial.
La grande ouverture de D4’J aura lieu ce samedi 29 juillet, de 8h30 à 17h, au Bonnie Doon Mall à Edmonton.

Tina est une maman, une épouse et la fondatrice de l’organisation She Glows, qui donne du pouvoir aux femmes.
