Jason Kenney takes over Alberta in a majority. Not the best result for second place NDP. Time to re-group and form solid coalitions and fight again for new Opposition Leader Rachel Notley and the NDP.
A potential candidate for Culture Minister, newly elected UCP MLA for Edmonton-South West, Kelechi Madu known as Kaycee is of Nigerian descent. He obtained his Law Degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, in 2001/2002, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003.

Kaycee is married to Emem who together work in their family firm called Tisel Law. Kaycee was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in September 2014 as a Barrister and Solicitor.

Prior to joining the Alberta Bar, Kelechi worked for Legal Aid Alberta, as well as, the Government of Alberta as a Senior Technical Advisor, Employment Standards Policy, Legislation and Program Development. Kelechi alongside with his team received the Premier’s award of Excellence in public service, in the bronze medal category, for their work with respect to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.

Kelechi enjoy spending time with his family, plays soccer, and is involved with his African, Nigerian and Igbo communities of Alberta. Kelechi volunteers for the Edmonton Community Legal Centre (ECLC), Law Society of Alberta, local schools and communities for charitable causes.
