Hhhhh! What a sigh of relieve. A giant step for Calgary, a giant leap for racism in Calgary and Alberta. Calgary-Fish Creek says no to racism by placing their trust in MLA Richard Gotfried sending openly racist Cindy Ross parking.

Is All that Glitters Really Gold Here in Edmonton?

Despite the beauty of Edmonton, some people still hold that there is nothing to see in Edmonton. …”Edmonton is dead and cold,” they say… This week I went out to see if I could find a thing or two to spice up the week.

September 11, 2018, was a bright sunny day worthy of feeding my eyes with something that matches its brightness. As I walked into the beautifully coloured glass building, I was greeted by the sights of students sitting in more comfy seats, looking more relaxed than the traditional seats we see in other buildings. I walked in through the front entrance and turn right into Roundhouse where I was joined by my host who doubled as my tour guide. It was a pleasure to be given a tour of Roundhouse by Dr. Leo Wong Founding Director, Social Innovation Institute at MacEwan University. Roundhouse is a flexible, co-working space, that includes a marketplace, meeting rooms, event venue, and a shared kitchen and lounge. It’s a space where ideas and community collide. It’s breathtakingly beautiful, state of the art eco-friendly, relaxed and inviting for social innovation.
