It was at the new, beautifully and artistically designed restaurant on Alberta Avenue – La Morenita.
Founder, Angelica Cruz, came to Canada in November 2013 with a dream to open a restaurant to foster her passion for cooking. In 2020, that dream moved an inch towards reality as she started a home bakery business. She will take the dream to an entirely new level in June 2024, when she opened La Morenita restaurant on Alberta Avenue.
“…the reason behind La Morenita is that our son Diego is autistic, non verbal and will be graduating from high school with his own business…,”Angelica Cruz shared her dream with Diversity Magazine after an enjoyable meal at La Morenita on 8501 118 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5B 0S7.

C’était au nouveau restaurant magnifiquement et artistiquement conçu sur Alberta Avenue – La Morenita.
La fondatrice, Angelica Cruz, est arrivée au Canada en novembre 2013 avec le rêve d’ouvrir un restaurant pour nourrir sa passion pour la cuisine. En 2020, ce rêve s’est rapproché de la réalité lorsqu’elle a lancé une entreprise de boulangerie à domicile. Elle a porté ce rêve à un tout autre niveau en juin 2024, lorsqu’elle a ouvert le restaurant La Morenita sur Alberta Avenue.
