July 27, 2024, Diversity Magazine captured the ISKCON Edmonton’s 21st Annual Jagannath Rath Yatra.
The Ratha Yatra of Puri, also known as the Ratha Jatra (“chariot festival”) is considered the oldest and largest Hindu chariot festival celebrated annually.
During the festival, participants experienced the joy and devotion of pulling the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Baladeva, and Subhadra. They also enjoyed the vibrant kirtans, traditional dances, and delicious prasadam.
During this festival today, the Hindu community in Edmonton honoured the divine journey of Lord Jagannath and witnessed the vibrant festivities at the Iskcon Temple.

Le Ratha Yatra de Puri, également connu sous le nom de Ratha Jatra (le “festival des chars”), est considéré comme le plus ancien et le plus grand festival hindou de chars célébré annuellement.
Pendant le festival, les participants ont ressenti la joie et la dévotion en tirant les chars de Lord Jagannath, Baladeva, et Subhadra. Ils ont également apprécié les kirtans vibrants, les danses traditionnelles et les délicieux prasadam.
Lors de ce festival aujourd’hui, la communauté hindoue d’Edmonton a honoré le voyage divin de Lord Jagannath et a assisté aux festivités colorées au temple d’Iskcon.
