The first ever Black Canadian Women (BCW in Action) partnership with an indigenous organization at the BCW in Action Leadership Camp.
Young girls at the BCW Leadership Camp leaned about the indigenous culture of connecting to nature in a session that started with smudging – smudging involves the burning of sacred herbs by some Indigenous peoples of the Americas.
There still few places for young girls from, 12 -16, to join the camp and be empowered to be great leaders in the future.
