Election is Coming Up in Alberta and this Woman Wants to March Alberta to a Better Future!
“….this election is going to matter, and every door step is going to matter, and every phone call is going to matter, the fate of the province is in our hands and we can’t stop now….together we’re going to march on to a better future….,”
A campaign-ready Rachel Notley activated the bubbling NDP supporters at her nomination event, in front of an orange wall of diverse candidates from different cultural and professional backgrounds, a wall that climbed the stairs of the NAIT Productivity and Innovation Centre all the way to the heavens.
To bring diversity and inclusion to the forefront of the party, at an event of such significance, the NDP Leader was introduced by an all visible minority duo of Indian heritage, and of indigenous heritage, Jodi Calahoo Stonehouse, Alberta NDP candidate for Edmonton Rutherford.
“…..Rachel doesn’t talk about helping Albertans but she actually gets it done……the first Alberta Premier to take real action in the lives of First Nations people…..Rachel is the leader who took on the challenging work and the most critical work that we have of our time of gender equity and anti-racism,” drowned by cheering NDP supporters, Jodi managed to get this message out as she introduced Rachel.
This event brought out a sea of orange NDP supporters to nominate Rachel Notley as the Edmonton-Strathcona NDP candidate, and Leader of the Alberta NDP for the next provincial election.
The NAIT Productivity and Innovation Centre also hosted the NDP final Provincial Council meeting before the 2023 election.
The next Alberta Provincial General Election is scheduled to be held on May 29, 2023.
