Nenshi Celebrates Results after Landslide Election Win.
Former Calgary Mayor, Naheed Nenshi, becomes the leader of the Alberta NDP opposition with 86% of the close to 73,000 votes cast.
Nenshi, the first Calgarian to win the leadership race, got 62,746 votes, Calahoo Stonehouse received 1,222 votes, Ganley received 5,899 votes, and Hoffman received 3,063 votes, announced today at the Hyatt Conference Centre in Calgary.
The purple man turned orange with a touch of purple, has helped grow the party to 85,144 members eligible to vote.
“….Wow – what an incredible day. I’m truly humbled and honoured to lead the Alberta NDP into its next era. Today feels like coming home….,” Naheed Nenshi, incoming leader of the Alberta NDP.

Naheed Nenshi, ancien maire de Calgary, devient le chef de l’opposition NPD Alberta avec 86 % des près de 73 000 votes exprimés.

L’homme violet devenu orange avec une touche de violet a contribué à la croissance du parti qui compte désormais 85 144 membres admissibles au vote.
