On Saturday, June 29, AAACCENT (Alberta African Arts and Cultural Centre) hosted the Mama Africa Night 2024 at the Crossroads Community Center in Calgary.
The event aimed to unite the African community, showcase and promote their culture and tradition through various activities. Highlights included, African Dance, and Djembe workshops, along with a vibrant exhibition and sale of African crafts and clothing.
The evening featured a stunning fashion show and captivating performances from countries such as Senegal, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Somalia and other.
The night concluded with an open dance session, fostering a sense of unity and celebration among all attendees.

Le samedi 29 juin, l’AAACCENT (Alberta African Arts and Cultural Centre) a organisé la soirée Mama Africa 2024 au Crossroads Community Center à Calgary.
L’événement visait à unir la communauté africaine, à mettre en valeur et à promouvoir leur culture et leurs traditions à travers diverses activités. Les moments forts comprenaient des ateliers de danse africaine et de djembé, ainsi qu’une exposition vibrante et une vente d’artisanat et de vêtements africains.
La soirée a été marquée par un défilé de mode éblouissant et des performances captivantes de pays tels que le Sénégal, l’Éthiopie, la Côte d’Ivoire, la Somalie et d’autres.
La nuit s’est terminée par une session de danse libre, favorisant un sentiment d’unité et de célébration parmi tous les participants.
