The Inclusive Project
Is your workplace reflective of the customer /clientele you serve?
If not we can help…and if already taking initiative we can improve.
Today, we are pleased to present the opportunity to learn about how 250+ communities can live in harmony in Edmonton. INCLUSIVE, a project under diversity magazine, is a strategic way to for organizations to effectively engage their diverse workforce, as well as Edmonton’s diverse communities, as a strategic advantage to boost sales/clientele through the promotion of inclusivity and diversity. Through our various options, we present a way for you to work with a publication that supports and promotes diversity and inclusion.
First Nations leaders have always call Edmonton “a great gathering place”. The great gathering and inclusive place spirit has led Edmontonians to create the first Mosque in Canada, invent the food bank, built a community league system, launched PCL, Stantec, The Running Room, Telus, Shaw, Ledcor and Bioware and many more.
Edmonton, lets engage and include newcomers and diverse communities to our city to live and work even better!
Objectives of Inclusive Edmonton: According to Statistic Canada’s 2011 NHS statistics, roughly 10,000 people immigrate to Edmonton each year. It makes good economic and social sense for Edmonton, or any organization to harness the power of diversity. This entire effort is designed to help residents from diverse backgrounds in the city live and work side by side in harmony.
The Inclusive Project will also generate great ideas to help organizations based in Edmonton to develop deeper insights into how to improve inclusion of their workforce.
This project help Edmonton as a city to attract others to move to Edmonton and or invest in Edmonton.
It will enable businesses to develop new markets as they use their diverse workforce to get closer to their pool of increasingly diverse customers and focus on talent attraction, retention, development, and promotion of the best people.

Who knows, maybe you’ll visit a table at the Trade Show, talk to someone during the networking sessions, or hear an idea from an inspirational speaker that inspires you to start an amazing project or maybe your idea inspires someone else or meet an employer and find that dream job.
Regardless, we predict you’ll get a chance to catch up with friends and colleagues and meet some inspiring new friends who are up to incredible things. Join us and meet people from all works of life: politicians, doctors, pharmacist, accountants, politicians, HR reps, engineers, entrepreneurs, cleaners, sales reps, community leaders, artist, carers, family men and women and what have you. 6. Diversity Market at Cariwest Festival, Churchill Square, Edmonton: Sharing arts, crafts and rich culture with Albertans through table display and selling of stuffs.
Tim is 23. He lives in the north of Edmonton. He produces great chocolate which he sells in a couple of stores in Edmonton. Kim 30, a graphic designer who designs and sells fantastic photos, lives in the south of Edmonton. They all want more and possibly larger and even the largest stores to carry their products. Online is another area that they want to grow their business. They need investments to fill in new orders in these stores and want to tap into new markets in neighbouring cities in Alberta, Canada and the US.
In a world where the next big thing happening in business; internationally, AirBnB and Uber, and locally; Yardstick and more came from the start-ups of yesterday. Where business start-up programs are the engine of growth in the US and other countries. Where does Edmonton fit in this fast changing world? We thought Edmonton’s bright minds producing great ideas, wonderful products, and services, new initiatives and businesses, deserve the support of Edmonton to earn a place at the table of future start-up greatness.
We set up a program called Illuminate Edmonton to help start-up increase their reach in the market; in stores, online, and other users of their products and services; get a top class mentor; attract investment; find financing, and build a great team.
