Black women in Calgary facing domestic violence or other forms of abuse now have a shoulder to cry on.
Ruth’s House was launched in February 2022 to educate and prevent domestic violence in the Black family in Calgary.
With safe houses, and other educational programs, it’s gaining traction in the community and beyond, but needs financial support to help the numerous families knocking its doors for support, as well as, those recommended by its numerous partner agencies.
