According to Post Media reports shown in this image, Mr. Sohi has emerged as the front runner in the battle for Edmonton. Multicultural voices have been crucial in this rise from the large numbers involved. Team Sohi is still working hard to cross the finish line this Monday, October 18, and counts on all voices including multicultural ones to bring the much needed change in Edmonton – building an Edmonton for everyone. We gathered for you a collection of Mr. Sohi’s responses on re-inventing Edmonton in the image and likeness of all Edmontonians at the October 8 Africa Centre Mayoral Forum at MacEwan University in Edmonton.
Amarjeet Sohi, the leading Edmonton mayoral candidate makes a strong case for re-inventing Edmonton into a diversity and inclusion paradise for everyone. He’s soft-spoken, calm, friendly, and goes to every event invited to listen to Edmontonians and support community building. As such, he seeks unity, avoids confrontation, and stay away from rage spraying and personal attacks online. He was a former federal minister and former Edmonton City Councilor who has scrubbed his own fair share of washrooms and kitchens as a janitor, but was resilient, hardworking, and ambitious enough to give himself a decent piece of the Canadian dream as an immigrant – from a janitor to a minister.
He’s not done!
Mr Sohi wants to build an Edmonton that will see everyone, their family, friends, and children represented in every level of the city and rise to their full potential like him, foster inclusion in the police, support multicultural businesses, arts, and artists. Listen and or watch the video to see if you will honour him to serve as Edmonton’s next Mayor in this life-changing election.
