The Jamaican Association of Northern Alberta (JANA), organized a Mother’s Day Brunch on May 12, 2024, at the Glengarry Community League Hall in Edmonton.
The event was full of exciting performances, delicious food, inspiring speeches, lots of prizes, and a beautiful rose flower offered to every mother present.
Mother’s Day is an annual holiday celebrated on the second Sunday in May. It recognizes mothers, motherhood and maternal bonds in general, as well as, their positive contributions to their families and society. It was established by Anna Jarvis, with the first Mother’s Day celebrated through a service of worship at St. Andrew’s Methodist Church in Grafton, West Virginia, on May 10, 1908.
A very happy and rosy Mother’s Day to all the mothers for their sacrifices to the wellbeing of everyone, without seeking any acknowledgement.

L’Association Jamaïcaine du Nord de l’Alberta (JANA) a organisé un brunch pour la fête des mères le 12 mai 2024, à la Glengarry Community League Hall à Edmonton.
L’événement était rempli de performances excitantes, de délicieux plats, de discours inspirants, de nombreux prix, et chaque mère présente a reçu une belle rose.
La fête des mères est une fête annuelle célébrée le deuxième dimanche de mai. Elle reconnaît les mères, la maternité et les liens maternels en général, ainsi que leurs contributions positives à leurs familles et à la société. Elle a été instaurée par Anna Jarvis, et la première fête des mères a été célébrée par un service religieux à l’église méthodiste St. Andrew à Grafton, en Virginie-Occidentale, le 10 mai 1908.
Une très heureuse et radieuse fête des mères à toutes les mamans pour leurs sacrifices pour le bien-être de tous, sans chercher de reconnaissance.
