Rise and Shine events was a networking evening that took place on June 25, 2023, in Calgary, with the aim of educating those present on the subject of how to manage their budget and their income like a business to avoid getting into what the organizer, Kennedy Gates calls the “Immigrant Cycle” – a cycle of debt leading to financial stress for immigrants.
