The smell of Suya spice glitters on freshly barbecued tender beef, ready to take on the bright yellow fried and sweet plantains in my mouth, is the taste of Africa, a taste I’ll remember all summer from the El Afrik booth at Taste of Edmonton. Indeed this’s the taste of Edmonton at the Taste of Edmonton festival currently taking place at Churchill Square in Edmonton, from July17-27. Birthed in West Edmonton Mall, El Afrik has taken their authentic African cuisine to the wider Edmonton community, to experience Africa in terms of delicious food and beautiful culture, exhibited in their fantastic booth decor at Taste of Edmonton. Taste of Edmonton is the largest food festival in Western Canada, showcasing culinary talent found within the city. C’est en effet le goût d’Edmonton, célébré au festival Taste of Edmonton, qui se déroule actuellement à Churchill Square à Edmonton, du 17 au 27 juillet.
Né au West Edmonton Mall, El Afrik fait découvrir sa cuisine africaine authentique à toute la communauté d’Edmonton, pour offrir un voyage en Afrique à travers une gastronomie savoureuse et une culture magnifique, mise en valeur par la superbe décoration de leur stand au Taste of Edmonton.
Taste of Edmonton est le plus grand festival culinaire de l’Ouest canadien, mettant en vedette les talents culinaires de la ville. L’entrée au festival est gratuite, mais pour savourer les délicieux plats préparés par les meilleurs chefs de la région, il vous faudra acheter des billets sur place.
