It’s beautiful, colourful, and rich in Somali culture. Its objective is to share the rich Somali culture with the youth. Of course, a passionate group of youths were present in beautiful cultural attires, dancing to the opening of the new museum.
“….we need to pass our culture to the youth, the reason we created this museum, with all its rich artifacts…,” Fowzia Hersi, Executive Director of Somali Art and Culture Association told Diversity Magazine after cutting the ribbon.

Un nouveau musée ouvre ses portes à Edmonton le 4 mai 2024…
Il est beau, coloré et riche en culture somalienne. Son objectif est de partager la riche culture somalienne avec la jeunesse. Bien sûr, un groupe passionné de jeunes étaient présents dans de magnifiques tenues culturelles, dansant à l’ouverture du nouveau musée.
“….nous devons transmettre notre culture à la jeunesse, c’est pourquoi nous avons créé ce musée, avec tous ses riches artefacts…,” a déclaré Fowzia Hersi, directrice exécutive de l’Association de l’art et de la culture somaliennes, à Diversity Magazine après avoir coupé le ruban.
