On the weekend of January 20-21, 2024, Arts on the Avenue orchestrated the vibrant Deep Freeze Festival in the Alberta Avenue area at 90–95 St & 118 Ave.

This lively event showcased the diverse cultures that contribute to the rich tapestry of the Alberta Avenue District, encompassing Ukrainian, Chinese, French Canadian, Franco African, Indigenous (Métis, Inuit, Cree), Latin American, and Asian influences. As you strolled through the festival, you were treated to a delightful array of artistic creations, a charming homestead village, and lively musical celebrations that engaged your senses with enchanting music, captivating art, and delicious treats.

The event also featured captivating ice sculptures, adding an artistic touch to the winter wonderland.
